Over 250 Winners of Gas Card Lottery for WWII Vets Get Relief from High Fuel Prices, County and Local Businesses Organize Event

Haddonfield, NJ (PRWEB) August 26, 2008 -- More than 250 Camden County World War II Veterans will receive a $50 Sunoco gas gift card free on Thursday, August 28, at Carl's Sunoco at 515 Haddon Avenue here.

The Veterans are winners of a lottery, designed to provide fuel cost relief to the Veterans and organized by the County's Veterans Affairs and Clerk's Offices with financial support from Somerdale, NJ-based allRisk Property Damage Experts (http://www.allriskinc.com/).

"We are humbled by our Veterans' service," said Christine Messina, allRisk Property Damage Experts. "We have the means to make this donation, because we live in the greatest country in the world. The freedom and opportunities afforded to us would not be possible without our Veterans' sacrifice and dedication."

More than 100 World War II Veterans gathered for an August 15 lottery drawing at the Voorhees Town Center to witness County Clerk James Beach select 240 names from the more than 1,200 entries for a free gas card worth $50.

On August 28, winners will be greeted with balloons, bunting and banners, and volunteers will be available to welcome veterans, offer refreshments, check all winning vouchers, and distribute the gift cards.

allRisk, an emergency response firm, provided the financial support for 200 gas cards with a $10,000 donation and purchased the cards in advance through Jim Jones, owner of Carl's Sunoco Station. Joining allRisk as sponsors are Bowman & Co, ($1,000) and Proof Productions ($1,000).

Because many of the veterans who attended the August 15 lottery were not winners in the random drawing, allRisk has made an additional contribution so that every veteran who was present will also receive a gas card. allRisk is also providing refreshments, balloons, signs, and volunteers for the August 28 event.

allRisk Property Damage Experts is a 24/7 emergency response company, specializing in commercial property damage restoration, general construction, and environmental remediation.
